| Lykke Tavell (b.1978) |

Biography Lykke Tavell sees her 'diagrams in space' as creating a seductive confrontation, or amalgamation, between the scientific and the spiritual.
Whilst these works recall Serra's industrial structure with the linear delicacy of Sandback, the presence of the artist's hand adds a human dimension absent in much minimalist art. Her use of line within vast frames, coupled with the contrasting materials of steel and wool, is both an affirmation and a denial of the material. Lykke Tavell is a sculptor of incredible promise and depth.
Lykke graduated from the Royal Academy in 2005 and was included in Allsopp Contemporary's Summer graduate show. She has already secured a major public commission with Deutsche Bank and has ongoing projects here in London and Austria.
